Fun Tidbits about Mrs. Watkins
My name is Holli Watkins and I am a first grade teacher at Reidland Elementary School. This will be my 11th year teaching first grade. I love my job!
At home, I have a husband named Matt. Matt and I have a precious nine year old little girl named Lanie Kate. She is a fourth grader at RIS. We have one dog named LJ and a cat named Madison. My niece will be a 3rd grader at RES her name is Ainsley. She is so sweet and funny! Another fun fact about me is that Mrs. Riley is my cousin! Her family and my family are very close! We love to go out to eat, go shopping, and play at the park.
Teaching
I absolutely have the best job in the world! I love what I do. I love teaching and seeing students learn. I enjoy every minute of working with your students. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in the first grade! I loved the chalk board and I wanted to be able to write on it anytime I wanted! Times have changed and now I love it for more than just writing on the board! I graduated from Paducah Tilghman in 1996. I attended PCC and then transferred to Murray State University where I completed my bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I also completed my master’s at MSU in Special Education. I have been teaching for fifteen years.
